The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet/dry model is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area that is up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also features a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard areas unlike traditional mops. In my testing, the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad before getting to work. I also noticed that it was more precise than previous models that seemed to follow a grid route around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms, and also create "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water before starting another cleaning job.

The X2 Omni is as simple to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. It takes just minutes to snap the dock into place, plug it in, and pair with your Wi-Fi network at home. Then, you can launch the app and get started with your first cleaning task. I was able customize my floor plan within 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for mopping and sweeping as well as rearranging the positioning of furniture on the wall and much more. The X2 Omni was impressive in my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also achieved near-perfect results in edge and crevices cleaning.

It had a bit of trouble transitioning to rugs, but in general this vacuum cleaner is ideal for rooms that have flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive but it's an excellent option for those who wish to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can do other things or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to take on difficult dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides incredible value for the money. Its basic navigation system uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, which makes it less time efficient than other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed very well in our tests by picking up hairs and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy, but it is better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a fair job on carpets with a low pile and utilizes smart-pathing navigational technology to provide superior maneuverability. It can be sent to a specific area, and has a suite of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It also lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions and is perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent tangles with pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying bagless dock station can store up to 30 days of dirt before it needs to be emptied. It also comes with an assortment of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander and allergens for a cleaner air.

This vacuum feels solid and well-built. It has a smartphone app that lets you change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app also allows you to view the remaining battery life and also receive notifications via push for any issues it encounters during its cleaning process.
